Why Expert PEO Guidance Matters More Than Ever
Choosing, managing, or renegotiating a PEO relationship is one of the most impactful decisions a small or midsize employer will make. Yet most business owners don’t have the time—or the inside knowledge—to navigate complex HR, payroll, workers’ comp, and insurance environments on their own. That’s where expert guidance changes everything.
With nearly 20 years of executive-level PEO experience, Dan Sheridan brings a rare combination of industry insight, operational expertise, and hands-on problem-solving to every client engagement. After competing against and working alongside the largest and most respected PEOs in the country, he understands how these organizations operate from the inside—and how employers can leverage that knowledge to their advantage.
Through PEO Blueprint, Dan helps employers cut through confusion, avoid costly missteps, and make confident workforce decisions. He educates clients on what truly matters, what to watch out for, and how to source solutions that are efficient, compliant, and cost-effective. But his role doesn’t end with guidance. He advocates for clients, negotiates on their behalf, resolves service issues directly with PEO leadership, and helps optimize renewals when costs start creeping beyond expectations.
Whether it’s negotiating down a steep healthcare increase, securing a rate cap, improving service performance, fixing a broken process, or helping a client understand better alternatives, Dan ensures employers never navigate these challenges alone. His goal is simple: help companies become stronger employers, smarter consumers, and more confident operators—while ensuring employees receive the support, benefits, and experience they deserve.
For leaders who want expert insight, faster issue resolution, and a partner dedicated to protecting both their business and their budget, PEO Blueprint delivers unmatched PEO brokerage value.

I have a tremendous amount of experience working with small businesses and a tremendous amount of experience in the payroll, HR, workers’ comp, and insurance suite of products. Being able to leverage nearly 20 years of that experience—and having worked with and competed against many different companies—allows me to bring a deep level of institutional and historical knowledge about the market and the industry.
To me, that means I can educate clients on what to be aware of, what to be cautious of, and what they should or shouldn’t be thinking about. Helping them understand what truly matters in these areas—and how to source solutions and resolve issues effectively, efficiently, and cost-effectively—is extremely important.
I also act as an advocate on their behalf. Partnering with clients to help reduce costs or solve a very specific problem using a PEO’s tools, resources, or expertise is a core part of what I do.
Another critical element is the ability to fix things. In any vendor relationship, issues will arise. The benefit of my background in the PEO space is that I’ve seen nearly everything—experienced it, solved it, or helped others through it. If something isn’t working or a client is struggling with their PEO, I can quickly understand the issue, their concerns, and their goals. Then I can go directly to the PEO and work with the right people, departments, and decision-makers to get it resolved quickly. Advocating for clients in this way is incredibly fulfilling.
There are also financial aspects. For example, if a client receives a 15% renewal but only budgeted for 8%, I can negotiate with the PEO to reduce the healthcare increase, secure a rate cap, or evaluate alternative plans. Helping small employers protect their cash flow is extremely rewarding because their challenges are very different from a Fortune 500 company.
Ultimately, anything I can do to help clients become better consumers, better employers, and more informed decision-makers—from an HR and financial standpoint—while ensuring they get what they need for their business and employees, quickly and cost-effectively, is work I truly love.
